GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
  • The candidates must carefully read the ‘CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY’ as given at Item B on page no. 3 and must satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for U-SET before filling the online application form and submitting the Online Application Form.
  • Submission of Online Application is mandatory. Hard copies of application forms will not be accepted by the U-SET Coordinating Institution.
  • Applications submitted in any other format (including old U-SET format) will not be accepted.
  • Application Form must be complete in all respects as per the Notification.
  • All incomplete Application Forms will be rejected.
  • Applications received after the last date will not be entertained.
  • The candidates in their own interest are requested to retain a photocopy of the Application Form and Admission Slip for their record.
  • No applications can be submitted after the last date (i.e.24/09/2017) and no fee will be accepted after 22/09/2017 in any circumstances.
  • The Candidates should note that their candidature is strictly provisional. The mere fact that Admission Card has been issued at the time of online registration and the candidate is allowed to appear in the test shall not imply that the University has finally accepted his/her candidature.
  • U-SET Agency may change the U-SET Examination Centre or date of examination without assigning any reason.
  • Candidates should go through the U-SET website (https://www.usetonline.com) also having a link at Kumaun University website (https://www.kunainital.ac.in) for Venue of test/seating arrangement or any other relevant information. U-SET will not entertain any requests/queries in this regard.
  • It may be pointed out that noting of seating arrangement/venue of Test from the official website of the U-SET Coordinating Institution will be the sole responsibility of candidate only. U-SET Coordinating Institution will not be responsible in this regard.
  • Those candidates, who are not able to find out their seating arrangement/venue of Test from the website of U-SET agency for appearing in the U-SET till 22 October 2017, are advised to contact the office of Member Secretary U-SET at 05942-236730.
  • The candidates are also required to bring his/her Identity/Address Proof (AADHAR Card/Driving Licence/PAN Card/Bank Pass Book/Passport etc) along with the printout of their Admission Card on the day of examination to verify their Identity.
  • To ensure fair conduct of examination frisking of the candidates will be done properly at main entry gate of the exam centre. The candidates should report at the examination centre 30 minutes prior to commencement of examination and cooperate with the invigilators in frisking. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination centre/hall after commencement of examination. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall/room before 11:45 AM in the 1st session, 3:30 PM in the 2nd session.
  • The candidates have to follow the instructions given by the invigilators in the examination hall/room and should not argue with the invigilators or other staff involved in the examination duty at the examination centre. The candidates, who will not follow the instructions, will be treated as using unfair means and his/her result will not be declared.
  • In the examination hall/room, the candidates will neither talk to each other nor discuss any matter during the examination. The candidates should not disturb other candidates in the examination room/hall and maintain complete silence during the examination. The candidate violating these instructions will be treated as using unfair means and his/her result will not be declared.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to write/copy any question from the Test Booklet on the Admission Card or on any other paper.
  • There are no negative marks of incorrect answers.
  • The candidate shall be allowed to carry question papers and carbonless copy of OMR Sheet.
  • The Marks sheet of all the candidates will be uploaded on U-SET website (https://www.usetonline.com) with a link at Kumaun University website (https://www.kunainital.ac.in soon after declaration of result. Besides this, U-SET will not issue any mark sheet to qualified/non-qualified candidates.
  • The answer keys of all the papers will be displayed on the U-SET website (https://www.usetonline.com) with a link at Kumaun University website (https://www.kunainital.ac.in) during first/second week of November 2017 (the exact dates of which will be notified later on the website). The candidates, who are not satisfied with the answer keys, may challenge the same by filling online application form on the U-SET website (https://www.usetonline.com) by paying a sum of Rs. 1000/- per question. The challenge of answer keys will be accepted online only through the link available on the U-SET website (https://www.usetonline.com) on payment of Rs. 1000/- per question. The fee can be paid by online mode. In case the challenge of any candidate regarding answer keys is accepted, the fee will be refunded to such candidates against the accepted challenge. In all other cases the fee once paid will not be refunded. Kumaun University’s decision on the challenges shall be final and the result will be declared on the basis of final answer keys.
  • No grievances with regard to answer key(s) after declaration of result of U-SET October, 2017, will be entertained.
  • The Application form (consisting of one copy of printout of online application) of finally qualified candidates along with bank Challan and other required documents (as mentioned in Item K of U-SET Brochure) must reach the Member Secretary, Uttarakhand SET, The Hermitage, Kumaun University, Nainital- 263002 (Uttarakhand) after declaration of result on or before the date specified by the University.
  • No TA will be paid to the candidates on account of appearing at the examination etc.
  • Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
  • The use of calculators or Log Tables is not permitted. Mobile phones, pagers, electronic devices etc. are not allowed in the Examination Hall/Room. The candidate(s) found in possession of any of these items in the examination hall/room will be treated as using unfair means and his/her result will not be declared.
  • A candidate who does not appear in paper-I, will not be permitted to appear in paper-II and paper-III.
  • The detailed instructions for the candidates will be uploaded on the U-SET website (https://www.usetonline.com) with a link at Kumaun University website (https://www.kunainital.ac.in) a week before U-SET. Candidates may read the instructions regarding use of Test Booklets, OMR Sheet and Specimen copy of OMR Sheet from the website. It may be noted that instructions to candidates will not be sent by post.
  • Decision of the U-SET Agency shall be final in all matters.
  • All legal disputes pertaining to this Test shall fall within the jurisdiction of the High Court of Uttarakhand, Nainital only.
